Sadly, due to the pandemic Soulfest 2020 did not occur. However, we were delighted to be able to run Soulfest 2021 despite one false start in that the July date had to be postponed to September. It was decided that as the pandemic had put paid to any fundraising events the entire profit from Soulfest 2021 would go to the Millennium Green and, as a result our coffers benefited to the tone of £2,300.
However, despite the lack of events, some fundraising was in place and a huge thank you must go to those who supported the Millennium Green via standing order/Buckinghamshire Lottery/Smile Amazon/donations. This enabled us to keep our heads above water. We also changed our bankers as CAF Bank (Charity Aid Foundation) charged us for the use of the account and subsequently started charging for each cheque we drew. This meant that one funding stream was just supporting the bank – time to move.
